Ketra Mytich
Ketra A. Mytich has been a practicing attorney for more than twenty years. She received her Juris Doctorate from Marquette University and her bachelor’s degree from St. Louis University. She is licensed to practice law in Illinois and Wisconsin and the United States Supreme Court. Ms. Mytich started her legal career with the Small Business Administration as legal counsel making commercial loans and assisting business start up and growth. She later was legal counsel to a Fortune 100 Company with responsibility for their benefit and pension plans.
Ms. Mytich focuses her practice in the field of estate planning, charitable giving, post-death estate administration and business succession planning. She educates her clients in a comprehensive and caring manner so that they are comfortable with the vital decisions they are making for themselves and their loved ones. Ms. Mytich’s goal is to provide committed service that helps her clients achieve their present and long term goals for themselves, their loved ones, and their communities.
As part of her commitment to education she is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, Peoria County Bar Association, Central Illinois Estate Planning Counsel; a member of the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys (NNEPA), a national organization committed to a philosophy of trust centered planning; a member of the Illinois/Wisconsin Forum of the NNEPA; and a co-founding fellow of EPICOR (Estate Planning Institute of Collaborative Resources), a wealth strategies collaborative; and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Inc.
Ms. Mytich is a contributing author of three books, Generations, an in-depth guide to estate planning, and also Ways and Means, a text on retirement planning and Your Life, Your Legacy. She has written articles for the State Bar Association financial and local publications and has done editing for Bloomberg Press. Ms. Mytich is a frequent speaker at local colleges, universities and public forums. Ms. Mytich has been awarded the 25 Women in Leadership Award, the Women in Management Women of Achievement Award for a Licensed Professional, and the National Association of Women Business Owners Lifetime Achievement Award. Ms. Mytich was the first recipient of the Bradley University and WMBD News Channel 31, Certificate of Leadership for her business leadership hard work, integrity and motivation as a leader.
Ms. Mytich believes in giving back to her community. She currently serves on the Proctor Hospital Foundation Board, the Public Building Commission of Peoria, The Peoria Symphony Orchestra Board, YWCA and the National Association of Women Business Owners. She has been active in the American Cancer Society, Peoria City Beautiful, WTVP Channel 47 Public Television and the Planned Giving Advisory Committee of the American Heart Association.
