Bard Optical is a vision care organization with 17 retail locations throughout central Illinois and a full service laboratory within the corporate offices which are located in Peoria, IL. All offices have optometrists who provide private eye health examinations and a support staff to assists patients with their vision care needs, including eyeglasses and contact lenses. Bard Optical is listed in the top 50 Optical Organizations in the United States by industry trade publications. Additionally, Bard Optical was the only woman-owned optical organization included.

Diana’s family is a major part of who she is. She enjoys and has been so fortunate to have fantastic friends and has a great time spending time with them. She also enjoys traveling.
She has two grown children - Michael A. Hall (Mick), a local attorney and partner in the law firm of Johnson, Bounce, and Nobel in Peoria, and Kim Hall Jackson who is a Community Health Practitioner with the Fulton County Health Department. Plus, she has six quickly growing grandsons.

In 1991, Ms. Hall received the "Athena Award," which recognizes a woman who distinguishes herself in business or the professions. In 1992, her organization received the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce Small Business Award. This award recognizes achievement in business growth and development. In 1994, she received the "Edythe A. Cohen Business/Industry Award" sponsored by the YWCA. In 2002, she received the 25 Women in Leadership award presented by the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce and WEEK TV. In 2003, Ms. Hall was honored by being named one of the top 50 women in the vision care industry.

She is a graduate of the Community Leadership School sponsored by the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce, and of the Political Action School sponsored by the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce; Past President and member of the Board of Directors of the Heart of Illinois Big Brothers Big Sisters Organization; Past President and member of the Board of Directors of Peoria Area Community Events (PACE); former Secretary and member of the board of the Peoria YWCA, and currently serves on the Advisory Committee; former Chair and Commissioner of the Peoria Downtown Redevelopment Commission; former member of the Board of Directors of the Peoria Area Chamber of Commerce; former Chair of Business Resource Services of Central Il1inois-for profit arm of the Chamber targeting value-added services for Chamber members; former member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago's Advisory Council on Small Business; member of the Downtown Development Commission; member and former President of the Women's Fund of the Peoria Area Community Foundation.
