Alice is the founder of Anthony's, Home of Aleece's Pita Chips. In addition, she has created many different types of dips that compliment the various flavors of chips. Currently, her baked pita chips are sold in the Peoria area and within the next year are expected to be offered throughout the country.
She specializes in catering and wedding/event planning while providing a one-stop shop for brides. In addition to event planning, she also offers floral design and gift baskets. Alice takes great pride in her work and always strives to make each party unique with her gourmet meals and her exquisite fruit and vegetable carvings. She has trained at the French Pastry School in Chicago with Sebastian Canonne and Jacquy Pfeiffer, who were voted the Top Pastry Chefs in the world. She attended cooking classes with famous chef Ron Glanville while in Portland, Oregon and traveled to Rome and to the Middle East in search of new recipes and research for the best way to prepare healthy food. Alice has trained under the world-renowned wedding planner Collin Cowie; bridal consultant association training director Rennee Grannis, and Master Bridal Consultant Teddy Letterman.
Alice enjoys being active in the community. She has served on the Board of Directors for WlM, NAWBO, East Peoria Planning and Zoning Commission, Saint Sharbel's Church Board and Fon Du Lac Park District's Helping Hands Foundation. She is a member of the East Peoria Chamber of Commerce, Bureau of the ABC Association of Bridal Consultants as well as involved with many organizations in the community.
Alice and the belated Charles Anthony have six children and 11 grandchildren. Dalal is an engineer who works for Motorola and is married to Ray Beacom. They have one son, Raymond. Diane is a manager with the Department of Transportation and has two daughters, Noel and Joy. Tina is an optometrist. She and husband Keith have two sons and two daughters - Jeremiah, Aleece, Juliet and Anthony. Gina is a dentist. She and husband Mike have 3 children; Sarah, Amanda and Jack. Chuck works for Caterpillar as an Information Technology Analyst. Steve is a deputy for the Tazwell County Sheriff's Department. He and his wife Camille have one child.
Alice feels blessed with being able to do what she loves most, spending quality time with her family and through her catering and event planning, helping others do the same.
